Financial Analysis - Partner Card Finance - Senior Associate
Job Description
In the Chase Partner CFO team, this role serves as a strategic finance partner and trusted advisor to the Co-Branded Credit Card business. The position provides end-to-end ownership of key finance processes and ad hoc business cases, with subject matter expertise across finance-related components of co-branded credit card agreements.
Role Overview
Act as the finance business partner for co-branded card initiatives by building insights into card portfolio performance, advising product and investment planning discussions, and supporting planning, forecasting, and performance reviews across General Manager (GM) teams and partners. Partner with the Co-Brand CFO to consolidate and distribute monthly reporting and ad hoc requests to internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a detailed understanding of the Credit Card P&L components and drivers to support analytics and insights on portfolio financial performance.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to GM teams on product development, special offers, and investment analytics.
- Collaborate with GMs, their teams, and the Co-Brand CFO to create and communicate planning and forecasting activities, including new accounts, key revenue drivers, and non-interest expenses.
- Meet regularly with GM teams and partners to review actual financial performance and discuss risks and opportunities versus budgets and forecasts.
- Produce presentation materials summarizing financial results and ad hoc initiatives for Partner GM teams, the President of Co-Brand, and senior leaders within the finance organization.
- Partner with the Co-Brand CFO to consolidate and distribute monthly reporting and ad hoc requests to internal groups, including P&A.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a subject of a technical nature.
- 7+ years of analytical or finance experience, including Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Management, Controller, or Accounting.
- Strong quantitative and critical thinking capabilities, with proven analytical problem-solving and confidence working with finance and accounting concepts.
- Ability to comprehend and communicate complex concepts clearly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exceptional communication skills (oral and written), including presenting, leading, supporting, and influencing senior management and contributing in business development discussions in the deal process.
- Strong judgment, professional maturity, personal integrity, and a proactive, results-oriented approach focused on facts, including the courage to ask difficult questions and challenge assumptions.
- Superior organizational and process skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to work effectively in a large, matrixed organization.
- Comfort working with ambiguous objectives and goals.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and various AI tools.
