Job Description

Conexus is seeking an Interim VP, Corporate FP&A to lead and modernize the Corporate FP&A function at a diversified publicly traded holding company. This is a 6-month contract role based in Los Angeles, supporting enterprise-wide consolidation, planning, forecasting, and executive reporting for the CFO.

Role Overview

The Interim VP, Corporate FP&A will own core planning and analytics activities across multiple businesses, producing an enterprise-level view of performance, risks, and opportunities. • Drive FP&A process improvement and modernization, including evaluating a transition from Excel to a more scalable enterprise planning platform.
  • Engage regularly with the CFO, Controller, Treasurer, and senior operating-company executives to support planning and reporting needs.

Requirements

  • Current or recent public-company FP&A experience.
  • Meaningful Corporate FP&A experience, not limited to divisional, business-unit, or commercial finance.
  • Experience operating at the corporate level of a company with multiple divisions, operating companies, reporting segments, or materially different lines of business.
  • Experience coordinating and consolidating annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning across multiple businesses.
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between Corporate FP&A and Corporate Accounting/Controllership in a public-company environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
  • Strong modeling, forecasting, scenario analysis, and executive presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated comfort challenging forecasts and assumptions.
  • Interest in driving change, improving processes, and modernizing an FP&A organization.
  • Executive presence and communication skills suitable for frequent interaction with senior leadership.

  • Experience moving a consolidated planning process out of Excel into a scalable FP&A platform.
  • Exposure to Board reporting, quarterly earnings, Investor Relations, or external financial guidance.
