Job Description

Truist Bank is seeking a Service Finance Underwriter I to evaluate consumer loan applications in Boca Raton, FL on an onsite basis. In this role, you will review credit reports and supporting loan documents to help determine whether requests are approved or declined in line with company and regulatory requirements.

Role Overview

The Service Finance Consumer Loan Underwriter assesses loan applications by checking credit report information and confirming that submitted materials align with established program and product rules. You will also communicate loan decisions and terms, while ensuring borrower documents are accurate and ready for signature.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze consumer credit reports
  • Confirm loans meet all program and product specifications
  • Verify document consistency with company and industry guidelines, and ensure documents are uploaded for borrower signature
  • Communicate loan decisions and terms
  • Verify the accuracy of the borrower’s information on loan documents
  • Follow loan funding operational policies consistent with Service Finance policies, procedures, and regulatory objectives
  • Serve as a liaison with dealers and other departments within Service Finance

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience reading and understanding a credit report
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
