Job Description
Site Finance Manager position with DHL Supply Chain in Goodyear, AZ onsite; salary USD 85,000 - 150,000 per year; requires a Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance and at least 4 years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a DHL Supply Chain representative during customer meetings
- Maintain direct contact with the customer, leading discussions on billing, strategy, and budgets
- Navigate commercial complexity at a higher level, including billing parameters, complex discussions such as flex budgeting, KPI penalties/incentives, and gain-share/pain-share structures
- Support sites with multiple locations and/or customers as needed
- Provide information requested by external customers regarding items on invoices
- Audit vendor payables for accuracy and secure required approvals before payment
- Execute daily customer and vendor contract requirements, identify accessorial activity, and ensure necessary documentation
- Collaborate daily with Finance and HR personnel, offering support as needed
- Provide Kronos system support and setup to ensure accurate hourly activity reporting
- Engage with General Managers, Managers, and Supervisors to deliver analytical support as needed
- Participate in daily activities to maintain a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment for associates
- Maintain direct involvement with Accounting and Commercial Finance departments
- Offer ad hoc analytical support to operations personnel across the operation as needed
- Prepare month-end close accruals and reclass journal entries
- Assist with accounts receivable processing and collections as needed
- Assist with accounts payable processing as needed
- Reconcile purchase orders to support expense recognition
- Prepare daily and weekly labor analysis reports for operations productivity analysis
- Support the collection of performance measurements aligned with customer, vendor, and site requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance, or 4 years of equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting
- Logistics industry experience
- Working knowledge of accounting and finance principles
- Advanced knowledge of P&L and balance sheet
- Strong communication and presentation skills across levels from C Suite to warehouse
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels; team oriented
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Advanced financial skillset including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
- Ability to influence business decisions with peers
- Effective project and time management
- Comfort working with ambiguity to solve issues
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong presentation capabilities
- Leadership and team management abilities
- Risk management and mitigation skills
- Willingness to travel
