Automotive Finance Manager

Koons Motors in Montgomery County, Maryland is seeking a seasoned Automotive Finance Manager to lead the financial transactions that accompany customer purchases. This role sits at the crossroads of sales and financing, requiring a proactive approach to menu selling, meticulous paperwork, and strong lender relationships to maximize profitability and deliver outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the financial transaction for each customer’s purchase, ensuring accuracy and timely funding.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive menu selling process to enhance the finance department’s profitability and product penetration.
• Collaborate with the sales team and customers to guide the financing journey during the buying process.
• Consult on and sell finance and insurance warranties.
• Prepare and submit precise paperwork for title and registration, securing funding from finance sources promptly.
• Verify paperwork for correct title, lien information, taxes, and related details.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with other departments, multiple finance sources, manufacturers, and partners.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the finance process.
• Submit deals to finance sources and obtain approvals in a timely manner.
• Work with the Sales Manager to secure a reasonable profit on every sale.
• Monitor and manage the department’s portfolio with lenders.
• Review daily workflow to ensure a timely turnaround on all deals.
• Support the sales team in achieving its goals with professionalism, ethics, and exemplary customer service.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of F&I experience in the automobile industry.
• Proficiency with Reynolds and Reynolds software is required.
• Excellent communication and outstanding customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and work ethic; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
