Job Description
Based in Kirkland, WA (onsite), Lee Johnson Auto Family seeks an Automotive Finance Manager to oversee financing and lease transactions, lender relations, reporting, and staff training.
Responsibilities
- Present and explain aftermarket products and service contracts to customers.
- Track contracts in transit to ensure full and timely funding.
- Cultivate strong relationships with multiple lenders and pursue competitive financing programs and rates from existing and prospective partners.
- Obtain finance approvals by accurately preparing finance and lease transactions for lender submission.
- Prepare and file government and dealer vehicle transaction reports promptly.
- Verify that titles, liens, and tax details are valid before routing documents to accounting.
- Receive and process all credit applications.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance personal performance and uplift the sales team.
- Explain dealership and manufacturer service policies to customers.
- Regularly review financing, extended service plans, and insurance products with the sales team.
- Generate finance penetration reports and collaborate with the sales team to develop financing forecasts.
- Verify that insurance and finance fees are collected.
- Generate end-of-month commission reports for each sales team member and forward to payroll.
- Maintain an ample supply of contracts and forms needed to finalize vehicle transactions.
- Train a designated employee to handle these duties in the finance and insurance manager's absence.
Requirements
- Basic math proficiency.
- Ability to communicate with customers and staff, read and interpret manuals and safety instructions, and prepare financial or marketing reports and correspondence.
- Professional appearance, demeanor, and grooming.
- Maintain the highest ethical standards.
- Understand and comply with applicable government regulations affecting new and used vehicle and finance departments.
- Experience as a finance or sales manager in a dealership setting.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a dealership finance or sales management role.
