Job Description

Neuropsychiatric Hospitals is expanding its leadership team with a newly created Facility Chief Financial Officer role based onsite in Huber Heights, Ohio. This executive will steer the facility's financial operations amid growth, focusing on budgeting, revenue-cycle management, and rigorous internal controls to support high-quality patient care. The position requires a seasoned financial leader with healthcare experience and a track record of delivering accurate reporting and smart cost management.

Responsibilities

  • Produce timely, accurate monthly financial statements, along with monthly operating reports, certifications, disclosures, and forecast updates.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly in line with company policies; identify and correct variances.
  • Ensure accounting and business office policies and internal controls are established for audit readiness, with no material adjustments or deficiencies.
  • Develop the annual operating budget and contribute to strategic planning; continuously analyze budget variances and implement changes to meet budget targets.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of federal, state, and managed-care reimbursement methods to verify facility payments and recorded revenue deductions.
  • Regularly monitor revenue-cycle metrics to improve performance, including timely accounts receivable collections, reducing uncompensated care, and achieving cash collection and AR-day targets to lower bad debt and denials.
  • Participate in Front End Revenue Cycle processes, ensuring 100% insurance verification, collaborating with financial counselors to determine patient portions, and approving discounts or charity for upfront collections.
  • Monitor purchasing to keep supply costs within budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or Clinical Discipline.
  • At least five years of progressive financial leadership experience in a healthcare setting, including oversight of hospital or facility financial operations (examples: Director of Finance, Controller, or equivalent roles).
  • Residence within the served market is required.
  • Strong financial analysis abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
