Job Description
Fellowship Recovery seeks a Finance & Accounting Manager to lead financial operations in a hybrid role based in Saint Louis Park, MN. Working closely with the CEO and the leadership team, this position oversees budgeting, reporting, compliance, and funding oversight to support the organization’s mission and growth. The role emphasizes GAAP adherence, internal controls, and accurate financial management across programs.
Compensation
Salary: USD 75,000 - 85,000 per yearly
Responsibilities
- Compile and review monthly financial statements
- Develop and monitor the organization's budgets
- Produce financial forecasts and cash flow projections
- Track financial performance and provide actionable recommendations
- Ensure general ledger integrity and oversee accounting activities
- Reconcile accounts and verify transaction accuracy
- Monitor Housing Support revenue and expenditures
- Track restricted funding and allocate resources accordingly
- Create financial tracking tools for program funding
- Support leadership with financial reporting related to state funding and contracts
- Collaborate with Human Resources on payroll budgeting and compensation planning
- Review payroll reports for accuracy
- Assist with executive compensation administration
- Monitor labor costs and staffing expenditures
- Coordinate the annual financial audits
- Serve as liaison with external CPA and tax professionals
- Assist with tax filings and financial reporting requirements
- Develop and maintain internal financial controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable nonprofit/healthcare financial regulations
- Oversee banking relationships
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable processes
- Review vendor payments
- Improve financial policies and procedures
- Develop executive dashboards and financial reports for leadership
- Provide financial insight to leadership regarding organizational growth
- Assist with long-term financial planning
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies
- Participate in leadership meetings as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible accounting or finance experience
- Strong understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Experience preparing financial statements
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
