Job Description

The Finance Manager and Desk Manager role is responsible for guiding automotive financing operations, supervising the loan lifecycle, and ensuring strict regulatory compliance. This position focuses on building strong customer relationships, promoting financing and insurance options, and driving sales within a fast-paced dealership environment in Toledo.

Overview

In this pivotal capacity, you will oversee the end-to-end loan process, steward client relationships, and enforce adherence to industry and financial regulations. Your leadership will support streamlined financial services, improved customer satisfaction, and responsible revenue growth through effective negotiation and upselling strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete automotive loan lifecycle, from credit analysis and transaction structuring to title processing, ensuring timely and accurate deal closures.
  • Foster durable customer relationships through proactive communication and personalized service while cross-selling financing and insurance options.
  • Direct negotiations with clients to secure favorable loan terms while maintaining compliance with all loan regulations, including TILA and dealership policies.
  • Supervise deal structuring to optimize profitability while adhering to industry standards and legal requirements.
  • Confirm that all financial documents, contracts, and regulatory paperwork align with automotive sales regulations and financial statutes.
  • Utilize dealership software systems for efficient loan processing, credit analysis, and client data management.
  • Provide ongoing training on regulatory updates, credit analysis techniques, and dealership sales strategies to develop the team.
  • Maintain meticulous transaction records, ensuring accuracy in 10-key data entry and basic mathematical calculations used in deal structuring.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify upsell opportunities that enhance revenue while delivering excellent customer service.
  • Monitor compliance with loan regulations, including TILA disclosures, title processing procedures, and other legal requirements governing automotive financing.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in financial services within the automotive or dealership sector, including roles such as loan officer or finance manager.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive industry regulations, financial compliance standards, and credit analysis techniques.
  • Demonstrated negotiation, client communication, and relationship management skills to foster trust and loyalty.
  • Familiarity with dealership management software such as CDK or equivalent systems used for transaction processing and record keeping.
  • Excellent mathematical skills for deal structuring, credit assessments, and contract details; 10-key typing proficiency is preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of automotive financing products, including finance and insurance options (F&I).
  • Ability to interpret complex loan and title documents accurately.
  • Strong organizational capabilities with meticulous attention to regulatory documentation and transaction records.
  • Exceptional customer service with a proactive approach to upselling additional products that benefit clients.

Pay
