Financial Controller

Senior financial leader positioned to oversee all accounting and financial functions at Alliant Casting, guiding budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and internal controls to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting and finance operations for the organization.
• Compile precise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Create and manage the annual budget and rolling forecasting process.
• Track cash flow, working capital needs, and liquidity requirements.
• Deliver financial analysis and actionable insights to guide business decisions.
• Present results and key performance indicators to senior leadership.
• Maintain and enhance product costing methods and inventory valuation.
• Evaluate manufacturing performance including labor efficiency, scrap, yield, and overhead absorption.
• Collaborate with operations leadership to identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve profitability.
• Monitor inventory controls and cycle counting programs.
• Advise on capital expenditure analysis and investment decisions.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to internal accounting policies.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and lender reporting requirements.
• Develop strong internal controls and robust financial processes.
• Manage banking relationships and insurance reporting requirements.
• Lead and mentor accounting personnel.
• Improve financial reporting systems and processes.
• Support ERP and technology initiative implementations.
• Serve as a core member of the management team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Manufacturing experience required, with foundry or industrial manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing operations.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
• Proven leadership and team development skills.
• Advanced Excel and ERP system experience.

Salary: USD 80,000 - 95,000 per year
