Job Description
The Clinic Financial Manager role supported by Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute operates onsite in Sarasota, FL, overseeing clinic financial operations, managing Financial Counselors, and guiding patient collections to align with FCS financial objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the clinic Financial Counselors and assess their performance across Managed Care duties and patient collections.
- Oversee and evaluate all clinic collections activities.
- Deliver training on Florida Cancer Specialists collection policies and procedures to clinic staff.
- Authorize all special order drug requests and review chemotherapy regimens to ensure reimbursement covers FCS drug costs.
- Contribute to the company’s financial goals by exercising fiscal discipline in staffing and purchasing decisions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree or higher preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in the medical field business office with prior involvement in self-pay and insurance account collections, preferably at a managerial level.
- Strong verbal communication skills when addressing patients about financial matters.
- Experience in accounts receivable management is required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage employees across multiple locations is essential.
- Valid Florida driver’s license for travel to clinics.
- Must comply with the FCS Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy.
