Director of Finance

A&E Healthcare is hiring a Director of Finance to lead the company’s financial operations from the Arlington Heights, IL corporate office. This full-time, onsite role reports directly to the COO and provides the opportunity to strengthen internal controls, support year-end close, and use finance data and analytics to drive continuous improvement. The compensation range is USD 150,000 - 155,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the accounting team in day-to-day operations
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Manage and analyze financial data to help improve company performance
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy
• Oversee payroll
• Monitor cash flow analysis and forecasting
• Implement and maintain internal controls in compliance with applicable regulations
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits
• Provide guidance on complex accounting issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred (not required)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance or Accounting (Healthcare preferred but not required)
• Experience with end-of-year books
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Finance experience: 4 years (required)
• Financial analysis experience: 2 years (required)
