Job Description
Onsite Finance Manager in South River, NJ, overseeing the organization's financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with a salary range of USD 63,000 - 76,000 per yearly.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a complete, organized record of all business transactions for accuracy and traceability.
- Reconcile bank accounts monthly using QuickBooks.
- Generate reports detailing receipts, expenditures, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Adhere to the Association's established bookkeeping procedures.
- Perform routine accounting tasks, including data entry and preparation of statements and reports.
- Review, code, and validate transactions and journal entries.
- Execute moderately complex calculations with spreadsheets and related software.
- Process accounts receivable transactions.
- Receive, verify, and timely pay supplier invoices.
- Review, process, and distribute accounts payable payments.
- Maintain the general ledger and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Analyze and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding payments.
- Direct the organization’s financial affairs in collaboration with the CEO, finance committee, and board.
- Sign off on the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, records, and reports.
- Manage financial resources and ensure operations comply with regulations and standards.
- Analyze financial data to advise strategic decisions and support business objectives.
- Research and implement financial modeling tools to forecast scenarios and risks.
- Evaluate investment options to optimize returns while balancing risk.
- Review forecasts to identify variances and opportunities for efficiency or cost savings.
- Develop processes, policies, and controls to improve workflow and ensure timely, compliant operations.
- Maintain up-to-date financial records, including invoices, purchase orders, A/P, A/R, and bank statements.
- Record journal and general ledger entries as needed.
- Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor expenses to ensure adherence to the budget.
- Resolve account discrepancies and GL issues as they arise.
- Assist the organization’s accountant with tax filings.
- Stay current on accounting principles and regulations to maintain compliance.
- Identify and improve accounting processes to boost efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members to provide financial insights for decision making.
- Process biweekly payroll and related records.
- Provide monthly expense updates to the Treasurer.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum 3 years of accounting or financial management experience
