Medical Billing / Patient Financial Coordinator
Job Description
Advanced Care for Women is seeking a Medical Billing / Patient Financial Coordinator to support an independent gynecology and fertility practice in Green Bay, WI. This onsite role combines insurance billing, denial and discrepancy resolution, and patient financial coordination to keep the practice’s revenue cycle running smoothly and help patients understand their coverage and options.
In this new position, you will handle core billing workflows such as eligibility verification and claim submission, while also partnering with patients to explain costs in clear, compassionate language. You will also contribute to monthly financial reporting and support internal operations tied to scheduling, payroll, and HR record keeping.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Submit claims and post payments and remits
- Work denials and resolve billing discrepancies
- Manage accounts receivable and collections
- Stay current on CPT and ICD-10 coding
- Explain costs and coverage to patients in plain language
- Present self-pay pricing, payment plans, and financing options
- Assist with staff scheduling, payroll, and HR record keeping
- Help prepare monthly financial reports
- Support budgeting and revenue cycle analysis
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical or dental insurance billing experience
- Strong experience with AR and collections
- Comfortable using EHR and practice management software
- Clear, compassionate communication about financial topics
