Job Description
Senior Business Development Manager for Mobile Financial Services in North America, responsible for driving new business growth, building a self-sourced pipeline, and leading end-to-end, multi-million-dollar deals.
Responsibilities
- Identify and win net-new business in the US market and key customer segments through proactive outreach, targeted account planning, and disciplined pipeline development.
- Lead consultative, value-led selling by understanding client needs, shaping compelling propositions, and positioning Ericsson Mobile Financial Services to address strategic priorities.
- Develop and maintain a self-sourced pipeline via proactive outreach and strategic account targeting.
- Own end-to-end sales cycles from prospecting and qualification through deal shaping, negotiation, closing, and delivery handover.
- Drive large, complex opportunities with cross-functional governance, delivering multi-million-dollar platform or services-led engagements.
- Craft business cases, value narratives, and commercial proposals that clearly articulate customer outcomes and Ericsson differentiation.
- Build and nurture relationships with C-level executives across business and technology functions.
- Apply Ericsson sales processes, tools, and best practices to improve discipline, opportunity quality, and deal velocity.
- Collaborate with product, pre-sales, delivery, legal, and finance teams to shape and win deals.
- Represent Ericsson at key industry events and client engagements.
- Maintain high-quality pipeline management, rigorous opportunity qualification, and accurate forecasting and CRM data.
- Ensure all sales activities align with Ericsson's Doing Business Responsibly framework.
- Build and activate ecosystem partnerships to enhance offerings and capture market opportunities.
Requirements
- 8 to 12 years of enterprise sales experience with a focus on Mobile Financial Services, fintech, or payments.
- Proven track record of new business acquisition and revenue growth in outbound sales.
- History of closing complex, high-value deals.
- Ability to create opportunities and open new accounts leveraging an established professional network.
- Experience selling to financial institutions or fintechs, with knowledge of relevant regulatory environments.
- Strong understanding of digital payments, digital wallets, and financial ecosystems.
- Proven ability to engage effectively with executive-level stakeholders.
- Strong commercial skills including deal structuring, pricing, and negotiation.
- Ability to translate technical solutions into clear business outcomes.
- Effective collaboration in multicultural and cross-functional environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
Compensation
- Salary range: USD 149,600 to 202,650 per year.
- Location-based variations apply; compensation may differ by region.
