Job Description

Automotive Finance Manager role onsite in Portland, OR at Dick Hannah Acura, with an annual salary range of USD 120,000 to 150,000, focused on selling financing, explaining aftermarket products, and guiding customers through financing options while maintaining lender relationships to support dealership profitability for new and used vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Offer and document financing options to customers.
  • Thoroughly explain aftermarket products and extended warranties to buyers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with multiple finance sources, including the manufacturer.
  • Submit and process finance and lease deals accurately to secure approvals.
  • Maintain ethical and professional conduct in all activities.
  • Prepare all federal, state, and dealer paperwork for vehicle transactions.
  • Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations affecting the new and used vehicle and finance departments.
  • Complete sales and lease paperwork promptly and efficiently.
  • Verify title, lien information, taxes, and related details before forwarding to accounting.
  • Pursue ongoing credit insurance education as needed.
  • Explain manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies to customers.
  • Identify and engage new lending institutions to secure competitive rates and programs.
  • Collaborate with sales managers to secure a reasonable profit on each sale.
  • Ensure the collection of all finance and insurance fees.
  • Handle all credit applications.
  • Manage rate quotations.
  • Establish and monitor guidelines to maximize customer satisfaction during the financing process.
  • Collect documentation required by lenders, the DMV or DOL, or dealer for each deal.
  • Ensure funding is secured and delivered in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Automotive finance experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer hardware and software.
  • Team player with a positive attitude in a team-oriented process.
  • Sales aptitude and ability to close deals.
