Job Description
UnitedHealthcare is seeking a Capital Finance Manager to serve as a financial advisor and strategic partner within its capital planning framework. The role oversees financial administration, budgeting, planning and forecasting, analysis and modeling, and senior leadership reporting, while guiding capital planning and mentoring the finance staff. This hybrid position based in Minnetonka, MN offers a pathway to influence capital decisions at the enterprise level with a compensation range of USD 91,700 to 163,700 per year.
Responsibilities
- Consolidate and report financial plans for UnitedHealthcare's Capital function and monitor performance against those plans.
- Develop tools and processes to deliver critical financial information to senior UHC/UHG leadership.
- Coordinate with internal affiliates and controllers on issues and changes in the Capital Plan.
- Deliver strategic recommendations to leadership based on financial analysis and projections.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for capital accounting and policy to support analyst and controller inquiries.
- Create and report forecasting and budgeting for the UnitedHealthcare Capital Plan, ensuring SG&A accuracy of the budget, forecasts, and presenting financial narratives and metrics.
- Oversee COTIQ UHC reporting.
- Prepare quarterly forecast reporting and monthly business review (MBR) reporting.
- Collaborate with UHC finance leadership to develop plans that achieve financial goals.
- Partner with the consolidation team to ensure accurate rainbow reporting for Capital.
- Mentor and develop a direct team of 1-3, managing work allocation, training, issue resolution, performance evaluation, and building an effective team dynamic.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
- 5+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
- Demonstrated ability to turn analysis into action and to highlight issues clearly in both written and verbal form.
- Proven effective communicator at all levels of the organization with strong oral and written skills and a collaborative approach to information sharing.
- Flexible, service-oriented leadership style with a strong collaborative mindset.
- Residence in Minnesota with the ability to work in the Minnetonka office about four days per week.
