Job Description

Bank of America seeks a Senior Relationship Manager for Dealer Financial Services within its Commercial Banking division. Based in Tampa and onsite, this role centers on initiating, managing, and expanding dealer-focused commercial relationships while growing a robust portfolio in a major market. You will leverage a comprehensive suite of offerings, from floor plan lines of credit and term loans to treasury, merchant services, and benefits solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate, maintain, and expand both new and existing dealer commercial client relationships, building a strong dealer portfolio.
  • Focus on establishing brand-new DFS and Bank relationships while sustaining relationships with our significant existing clients.
  • Grow a dealer portfolio in a major market leveraging the Bank of America brand and product capabilities to support growth.
  • Offer a wide range of products, including new and used vehicle floor plan lines of credit, term loans (real estate secured and other), DDA/Treasury, Merchant Services, and 401k/Employee Benefits services.
  • Demonstrate extensive product knowledge and the ability to prospect, market, prioritize, and solicit appropriate dealer commercial clients.
  • Assess client needs to determine optimum solutions and lead a team of product professionals to achieve DFS revenue objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of broad-based sales experience within Commercial Dealership Sales (Floor Plan, Real Estate or Treasury Loans) or Sales experience in the Dealer Captive Market with a commercial focus.
  • Extensive experience in financial analysis and a thorough understanding of dealership financial statements.
  • Ability to review and assess the strength and weaknesses of income statements and balance sheets with emphasis on cash flow and liquidity.
  • Skilled in evaluating a company’s historical and current financial condition using ratios, the asset conversion cycle, and cash flow to inform loan structuring.
  • Understanding of clients’ business strategies and needs, with the ability to apply sound accounting principles to credit analysis.
  • Ability to leverage technology, tools, and resources to optimize financial management and to bring in partners when appropriate to support a sales opportunity.
  • Knowledge of where to find industry information and capability to use data to inform pre-call planning.
  • Deep familiarity with the customer’s business to uncover needs and tailor bank solutions, including a broad array of Treasury, Credit, and Digital capabilities to drive growth.
