This onsite Chief Financial Officer role in Harvey, LA places you at the center of financial leadership, guiding planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and risk management in partnership with private equity to align with investor objectives. You will shape the organization’s financial health, lead strategic initiatives, and mentor the payroll and accounting team from a position of influence and accountability.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement a financial roadmap that supports strategic business objectives.
- Deliver actionable financial insights and guidance to leadership.
- Lead financial support for mergers and acquisitions, investments, and expansion efforts.
- Steer long term financial planning and sustainable growth strategies.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling activities.
- Track performance against financial targets and KPIs.
- Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Produce strategic financial reports and presentations for leadership and investors.
- Oversee accounting operations and ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards.
- Ensure timely and accurate month end and year end close processes.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports on schedule.
- Maintain general ledger integrity and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Report on revenue, costs, margins, and working capital metrics.
- Oversee job costing, inventory, fleet, and fixed asset accounting.
- Maintain strong internal controls and govern financial processes.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital position.
- Oversee banking relationships and financing activities.
- Monitor investments and financial risks.
- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Ensure tax compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain corporate policies and procedures.
- Oversee insurance and risk management programs in collaboration with private equity partners.
- Coordinate audits, tax compliance, and external auditor relationships.
- Lead and develop the payroll and accounting team.
- Set performance objectives and accountability measures.
- Foster a culture of financial discipline and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of financial planning, accounting, taxation, and corporate finance.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Proven leadership, strong communication, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Proficiency with financial management systems and ERP platforms.
- 7 to 10+ years in accounting or finance leadership roles.
- Experience as Controller, VP Finance, Director of Finance, or business unit CFO.
- CPA preferred; MBA optional.
- Background in a multi-location service, trades, distribution, or operating-company environment if applicable.
- Experience with ADP and Sage Intacct preferred.
