Job Description

LaFontaine Chevrolet Plymouth is seeking an Automotive Finance Manager in Plymouth, MI (onsite) to help grow dealership revenue by selling finance and insurance products to new and used vehicle customers. You will also play an important role in protecting deal accuracy by complying with the facility information security program and maintaining a professional appearance throughout the sales and financing process.

What you’ll do

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with all sources of finance and insurance products, including factory programs and other partners.
  • Submit correct documentation to obtain approvals for all possible finance transactions.
  • Coordinate with sales management to support a process that ensures a 100-percent turnover of appropriate deals to the Finance & Insurance department.
  • Work with Sales Managers to secure a reasonable profit on each transaction.
  • Develop finance department forecasts with the sales department to target desired penetration and income.
  • Verify the accuracy of customer paperwork, including title, lien information, taxes, and other documents.
  • Ensure customer information in dealership databases is accurate, including e-mail addresses.
  • Notarize deal paperwork as required and forward completed deals to the office in a timely manner.
  • Acquire insurance licenses if applicable.
  • Prepare monthly reports covering finance penetration and products sold.
  • Keep sales management current on rates and available products.
  • Complete all training certifications as directed by management.
  • Follow policies and procedures in the Personnel Policy Manual and other corporate policies, plus any other assigned duties.

What you bring

  • Minimum 2 years in automotive sales.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training.
