Job Description
The University of Cincinnati invites applications for a Financial Administrator 1 or Financial Administrator 2 within the College of Engineering and Applied Science. This hybrid Cincinnati, OH role supports financial, HR and payroll, and grant activities, along with budgeting, under the Senior Business Administrator in Civil & Architectural Engineering & Construction Management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct financial tracking across a variety of funds and accounts, including General Funds, Designated/Endowment/Gift funds, Faculty Startup, Graduate Assistants, Adjuncts, Grants, and other accounts as needed
- Participate in HR and payroll processes, including timekeeping
- Process transactions in CONCUR and PACE for purchasing, travel, and contracts
- Support department business offices
- Assist in the development of the annual budget
- Coordinate and monitor fiscal administrative duties
- Contribute to the development of unit policies and procedures
- Monitor the financial status of unit programs and other budget allocations
- Implement policies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Review and prepare CONCUR reports for reimbursements and purchasing card transactions
- Manage and reconcile budget accounts and prepare monthly reports
- May coordinate personnel functions for an operating unit

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or a related field
- For Financial Administrator 1: Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of the education requirement; related finance or accounting experience is required
- For Financial Administrator 2: Six (6) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of the education requirement; two (2) years of finance or accounting experience is required
- Minimum experience: 2 years
