Job Description
This onsite Automotive Controller role in Ventura, CA offers a salary range of USD 150,000 to 165,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the Office Manager and related administrative functions
- Manage financial statements and associated reporting
- Direct cash management activities and liquidity planning
- Ensure regulatory compliance and oversee risk management efforts
- Administer the organization’s insurance program
- Supervise IT operations within the finance scope
- Lead inventory reconciliation processes and accuracy checks
- Provide oversight of the HR department as needed
- Prepare and present reporting to the General Manager and owner
- Coordinate payroll processes and related activities
- Coordinate year-end compliance activities and related tasks
Requirements
- Preferred education: CPA or a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Minimum five years of experience as a Controller in a franchised automotive dealership or equivalent automotive industry experience
- Strong understanding of automotive dealership financials, floorplan management, and inventory processes
- Experience with DMS systems such as CDK and Tekion, plus related software tools
