Project Financial Analyst, Engagement Financial Advisor

This onsite role in Tempe, Arizona supports Deloitte’s Engagement Financial Advisor team as a Project Financial Analyst responsible for managing project budgets, tracking financial performance, forecasting revenue and expenses, and enabling robust financial operations across engagements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to administer budgets, monitor financials, forecast revenue and costs, and keep engagements financially on target
• Prepare and present financial reports, budgets, and forward-looking forecasts to inform engagement leadership decisions
• Track expenditures and assist with billing and collections processes
• Provide financial updates, insights, and recommendations to internal stakeholders
• Support routine project operations and financial management activities throughout the project lifecycle
• Identify financial risks, process gaps, and opportunities for improvement
• Apply established project management and financial procedures to enhance engagement quality and maintain compliance
• Contribute to team initiatives, share knowledge, and participate in process improvement efforts
• Maintain regular communication with your manager, your career coach, and your onboarding advisor to support professional development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a business degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience
• At least 2 years of experience using Microsoft Office applications
• Proficient to advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
• A solid understanding of fundamental accounting and finance principles
• Willingness to travel on average 0 to 10 percent based on assignments and client needs
• Willingness to work onsite at least one day per week at a local office
• Must reside within a commutable distance to one of the selected locations listed for this role
• Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future

Compensation

Salary range: USD 66,200 to 121,800 per year.
