Job Description
Join Deloitte as a Project Financial Analyst on the Engagement Financial Advisor team. This onsite role in Nashville, TN supports budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial operations for client engagements. Compensation ranges from USD 66,200 to 121,800 annually.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams to manage budgets, monitor financials, forecast revenue and expenses, and ensure engagements remain financially on track.
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support leadership decisions within engagements.
- Track project spending and assist with billing and collections activities.
- Communicate financial updates, insights, and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
- Support day-to-day project operations and financial management across the project lifecycle.
- Identify financial risks, process issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Apply established project management and financial processes to uphold engagement quality and compliance.
- Contribute to team initiatives, knowledge sharing, and process improvement efforts.
- Maintain regular contact with your manager, career advisor, and onboarding advisor to support professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a Business degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting and finance principles.
- Ability to travel up to 10 percent on average, based on client needs.
- Ability to work from the local office at least one day per week.
- Residency within a commutable distance to one of the designated locations for this role.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

- Bachelor's degree with 3 years of relevant experience or Business degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline with 2 years of relevant experience.

- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting and finance principles.
- Ability to travel 0-10 percent on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries you serve.
- Ability to work in your local office at a minimum of one day per week.
- Residency within commutable distance to one of the select locations for this role.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Experience working with a variety of contracting types (time and materials, fixed price) and billing scenarios.
- Experience in a professional services firm.
- Experience with MS Office Suite applications.
