J.P. Morgan is seeking an Analyst to support investment banking activity within the Financial Institutions Group (FIG). In this role in the Investment Banking Division, you will help execute M&A and capital raising transactions, partnering closely with senior professionals and counterparts from client and other advisory teams.
The team sits within J.P. Morgan’s Commercial & Investment Bank, a global organization spanning banking, markets, securities services, and payments, serving corporations, governments, and institutions across more than 100 countries.
Role overview
As an Analyst in FIG, you will contribute to transaction execution, including due diligence support and document preparation, while also building and applying complex financial models. You will draft and refine investment banking materials used in deal processes and strategic client dialogue, staying current on market developments and relevant dynamics for the target client base.
Key responsibilities
- Execute transactions, including due diligence support, document preparation, and negotiation, with ongoing coordination with relevant counterparts at the client or other advisers (including accounting and legal)
- Collaborate across teams, working with J.P. Morgan product and sector teams
- Build and use complex financial models, completing valuation and analytical exercises
- Draft investment banking materials, including presentation decks for management, Board materials, memorandums, and other documents used in M&A and capital markets transactions
- Maintain market knowledge by tracking key market developments and building familiarity with the target client base and market dynamics
Qualifications
- 1 year of work experience in an investment banking front office or a related role
- Strong accounting, finance, quantitative, and business writing skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Understanding of the transaction cycle and an execution-oriented approach
- Impeccable communication with the ability to interact effectively with senior professionals, clients, and key stakeholders across business lines
Compensation and location
- Salary: USD 110,000 per year
