Job Description

Bank of America is hiring in New York, NY (onsite) for the Advisor Development Program - Financial Solutions Advisor Trainee, a 40 hour per week, 1st shift role with a compensation range of USD 29-34 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain Securities Industry licenses through structured study and testing for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 exams to establish a foundational regulatory footing.
  • Develop core advisory capabilities, including building and managing client relationships, evaluating a client’s comprehensive financial picture, and delivering guidance with solutions that help clients pursue their financial goals while maintaining a human approach to interactions.
  • Embed in a Bank of America financial center to deliver essential banking services along with investment solutions and high quality client care as part of daily practice.
  • Advance through the Advisor Development Program stages, gaining the knowledge, tools, and credentials needed to perform at each progression level.
  • As a licensed ADP Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I, transition to the Merrill Financial Solutions Advisor (MFSA) track and begin building a portfolio of affluent and high net worth clients.
  • Upon MFSA success, pursue opportunities to grow toward a core Merrill Financial Advisor role, leveraging Academy programs and resources to support ongoing career development.

  • Results‑driven orientation with a consistent focus on prioritizing client interests.
  • Ability to identify appropriate client solutions by applying knowledge and incorporating new information into the advisory process.
  • Application of regulatory due diligence in daily activities to inform long‑term client strategies.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or at least one year of experience in financial services or sales.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology or applications as tools evolve.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
