Job Description

Bank of America is seeking a Financial Solutions Advisor to join the onsite team in Scotch Plains, New Jersey. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive financial guidance, design tailored plans, and recommend brokerage products while upholding licensing requirements and SAFE Act compliance. The position emphasizes proactive client engagement, referral coordination, and disciplined risk management to help clients reach their financial goals.

Compensation

Salary: USD 70,000 - 80,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to define short and long term financial objectives by constructing a financial plan that includes brokerage products such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities, and banking or managed money solutions.
  • Recommend banking and investment strategies that align with each client’s goals and needs.
  • Triage client requests and refer to appropriate internal service providers based on client needs and asset thresholds.
  • Identify and manage risk as part of daily activities to protect client interests.
  • Identify and engage potential new clients through referrals or the financial center’s existing clientele.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to referral partners informed by knowledge of client needs and potential product services.

Requirements

  • Licensing: Currently holds Series 7 & 66 licenses. If you do not hold the 66 but have either a 63 or 65, an offer can be extended on the condition that the missing series is passed within 60 days.
  • Experience: At least one year in the investments industry, including investment training and broad knowledge of investment products and services.
  • Industry experience: At least one year in the financial services sector and/or a sales environment where goals were met or exceeded.
  • Education: High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent.
  • Skills: Sets and achieves goals, builds and nurtures relationships, collaborates effectively, communicates confidently with clients, manages tasks in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrates willingness to learn and adapt while incorporating regulatory due diligence into daily activities and long term strategies.

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday with rotating Saturdays
