Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Regions Finance

Based in Dallas, TX on site, this Senior Financial Analyst role supports AWS Regions Finance with monthly financial reviews, operating plan planning for early-stage and ADC regions, FP&A, controllership, and the delivery of regional performance insights to AWS leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee core financial processes including the annual operating plan, monthly and quarterly business reviews, risk and opportunities assessments, and month-end close activities.
• Convey financial metrics and business drivers clearly to senior finance and business leaders to influence strategic direction.
• Collaborate with other AWS Finance teams and senior leadership to forecast quarter-end, annual, and multi-year performance.
• Prepare and present business reviews to senior management outlining progress and potential obstacles in new region expansion initiatives.
• Deliver financial reporting, ad hoc project analyses, and financial modeling to support business and finance leadership.
• Lead special projects aimed at automation and process improvement, working with AWS Finance partner teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
• 4+ years applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (such as engineering, mathematics, or computer science).
• 4+ years building financial and operational reports or data sets that inform business decision-making.
• 3+ years dissecting financial data to identify patterns that support business strategy.
• 3+ years contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.
