Job Description
JPMorganChase is seeking a Finance and Business Management professional for its SAIC team, onsite in Newark, DE. The role centers on analyzing and implementing changes to the financial accounting architecture, supporting Financial Control, Asset Class Control, and Product Control. Projects span from production remediations and industry/LOB initiatives to large-scale, multi-year programs aimed at replacing whole product systems.
Responsibilities
- Document and articulate detailed accounting requirements for the finance function, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and local GAAP.
- Collaborate with the controllers organization to capture requirements and pain points for inclusion in the accounting architecture design.
- Coordinate with operations support teams to ensure requirements are aligned and fulfilled across both organizations.
- Partner with technology teams to translate finance requirements into executable system logic.
- Verify that the strategic infrastructure design adheres to established Finance Principles and Big Rules.
- Assess controls to ensure the infrastructure operates within a robust control environment and identify opportunities for process and control improvements.
- Develop and execute UAT test cases; participate in end-to-end testing, production-parallel testing, and data/conversion testing.
- Coordinate with the PMO to support governance and oversight.
- Communicate progress to finance stakeholders and facilitate reviews and design decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Self-starter capable of thriving in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- 2 to 4 years of finance experience; preferred background in controller or accounting/general ledger support.
- Solid understanding of general ledger processes and accounting operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including root-cause analysis and solution development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Highly organized and self-motivated.
- Effective multitasking and prioritization capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building ability.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP), plus PowerPoint and Word.
