Job Description

FP&A oriented associate supporting expense planning, forecasting, and reporting for JPMorgan Chase's Business Banking National Sales.

Responsibilities

  • Assist monthly and quarterly expense tracking and forecast updates for Business Banking National Sales.
  • Maintain expense models, templates, and tracking files under guidance from senior team members.
  • Help monitor controllable expenses including headcount costs, incentives, and travel and entertainment.
  • Detect variances versus budget, prior forecasts, and prior periods; provide clear detail and summarize movements and drivers.
  • Produce recurring reports and materials used in expense reviews and business updates; ensure data accuracy through validations, reconciliations, and tie-outs.
  • Handle ad hoc analyses related to spend trends, forecasts, and assumptions.
  • Develop understanding of how expense results connect to broader business performance and decisions; assist in maintaining standard templates, assumptions, and documentation.
  • Contribute to forecasting and reporting improvements through automation and tool adoption.
  • Build proficiency in financial systems and tools used for expense management; consistently meet deadlines and quality expectations.
  • Collaborate with teammates and cross functional contacts to gather inputs and clarify data.
  • Seek feedback to strengthen financial analysis and communication; take on increasing responsibility as experience grows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, business management, accounting, or a related role.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills; comfortable working with numbers and data.
  • Working knowledge of Excel; willingness to learn advanced modeling and workflow automation tools.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dependable with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting or planning systems.
  • Growth mindset with interest in automation, analytics, or process improvement.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn how financial insights support business decisions.
