Coldwater Veneer Inc. is seeking a seasoned finance leader to oversee the accounting function on site in Coldwater, Michigan. The Chief Financial Officer will partner with the executive team to strengthen financial reporting, deliver insightful analysis, and guide strategic planning that supports sustainable growth for a wood veneer manufacturer with a global footprint.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations and supervise three accounting staff along with two IT personnel.
- Prepare financial statements and reports such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Develop reports and analyses that help managers make informed business decisions.
- Interpret financial data to identify issues, raise awareness, and drive corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide timely financial information for operational needs.
- Ensure timely delivery of data and reporting to management.
- Review financial statements from external sources, including banks and investment firms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or Business Intelligence.
- Demonstrated analytical ability to guide the business forward.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data into actionable tasks.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
